GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

A C Jones high school is a great campus, with its minimal flaws that all schools have, it serves as great school that focuses on delivering education to its children and getting involved in their futures. The school isn't stingy when it comes to its programs, giving most million dollar makeovers every year. with the recent upgrade to the lunches, students are now given not only nutritional food, but enjoyable food as well. the only issue I see with the school is its noticeable lack of African American students, when walking down the halls, or sitting at lunch, its not often that you see any students of color, but this is not at the fault of the school of course. overall, the school has done well in giving the education and recourses to succeed, with only the small fraction of the classes failing to take advantage of the many opportunities presented. I highly recommend the school to any in the Beeville district, as the school only seems to get better with each passing year.

A.C. Jones is like most high schools. Two things that A.C. Jones has over other high schools, however, is that we have a great sports program and scholarship program. We always stand out in athletics and have a great coaching staff. We also have a Barnhart Scholarship program that assists all A.C. Jones students. The staff in the Barnhart office is very dedicated and helpful. I would like for our school to become more involved in the community by having more parades and pep-rallies.

Academics at A.C. Jones really highlight why I enjoy the school. Not only do they offer a wide array of classes and subjects, they also include a whopping 15 Advanced Placement classes for the academically driven students. This is very helpful for students to increase GPA and to obtain college credit. Aside from classes, the teachers at A.C. Jones really seem to care and acknowledge students.

I graduated in 2009 at this school. To be honest, it's a pretty terrible school. I was bullied at this one as well by some of the athletic kids - along with my friends - and none of the staff wanted to do anything about it since athletics brings a large portion of finances. There was a lot of instru...
