Belding Middle School is home to the sixth through eighth grade Black Knights. Located in beautiful Belding near the Flat River, Belding Middle School is the only middle school option in the Belding Area School District. The district is committed to being “The right size. The right choice.” Diverse extracurricular options await Belding Middle students as they discover their talents and prepare for their future careers. Athletic opportunities include track, basketball, wrestling, volleyball and football. In the arts, middle school students can perform in drama, band and choir events. A broad range of clubs, from knitting to technology club, welcome interested students. These optional activities are tailored to meet the needs and interests of a diverse student population. A strong foundation of core curricular studies supports these extracurricular activities. Students dive into English language arts, science, social studies and math, and exploratory courses in technology and other topics. A small student population and class sizes make Belding Middle School a strong choice for students in Ionia County. The school encourages community service projects and community-wide activities to promote parental involvement.
