GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been going to Bellaire since kinder garden and have had a pretty great experience. While even though it is a small school it still has many resources to help with an academic future such as access to the Career Tech Center in Traverse City and online Ap classes. All of the teachers are helpful and supportive and look out for your future. They also have a great sports program with great coaches. They offer a variety of classes and sports for their students. Overall it is a pretty spectacular small town school even with its small numbers. Almost everyone gets along and their is something for everyone.

I attended this school from kindergarten to my senior year of high school. Most of my fondest memories were made at BHS. I met all of my closest friends there and became incredibly close with all of my teachers. I loved attending a small school that allowed me to get to know and interact with everyone I met. I loved participating in student council, concert band, the National Honor Society, and our drama/choir program. I honestly believe Bellaire High School is the best high school in all of Michigan.

Some people say that children don’t get taught enough, or what’s right at this school, but personally I say everything parents are putting in here is false. They amazing staff teach us everything we need to know and they also teach something that most schools don’t: they teach you how the world work...

It’s the best in the area but that doesn’t mean it’s great. Some teachers should’ve been fired years ago.

I think reading what former students and their parents wrote, pretty much says it all. If we have adults stumbling out into the world who do not know the difference between there/their/ and they're...(and countless other mistakes) what more really needs to be said?
