Despite its name, Veritas Christian Academy of Houston is located at 7000 Ferris St. in Bellaire. This classical Christian school works hard to create a culture that promotes its five core values: academic excellence, character formation, Biblical literacy, classical foundation and intentional engagement.
Classes at Veritas begin with pre-kindergarten and continue through fifth grade. The school prides itself on its strong Biblically integrated curriculum with core requirements emphasizing language, science, math, and history and literature classes taught within the classical tradition. With only 200 students, Veritas classes are close-knit and have a favorable student-to-teacher ratio.
Distinctive Veritas programs include art, drama, logic, design thinking, technology and local and international cultural expeditions.
Cultural expeditions are extended field trips that begin in fifth grade. Parents and students alike rave about these thrilling expeditions. In fifth grade, students go on a Texas history trip while sixth graders scope out Washington DC and seventh graders travel to New York and Boston. To cap off their final year at Veritas, eighth graders visit London and Oxford.
Veritas scholars are encouraged to try all sports and join athletic teams during middle school, while they are also exposed to the arts through music and theater.

We have been a part of Veritas family for 9 years. We were first attracted to the school for the high academic standards and classical education. Veritas has not disappointed us in this area, however we were amazed at the spiritual impact Veritas has had on our children. Our boys are surrounded by God's word everyday and witness teachers, staff and fellow students living out their faith in a meaningful way. Veritas is an absolute blessing to our family.

We are beyond thrilled to be a part of this school. Our daughter has thrived at Veritas. The rigorous academics in the setting of a Christian worldview is exactly we wanted. The student-to-teacher ratio is the best I've seen and the community of parents and teachers warms my heart on a daily basis.

Fantastic Christian school with great academics. They have been able to develop and promote a very unique environment over the years where the kids seem more like brothers and sisters than classmates. The older kids are taught to look out for the younger kids and act as an example the way an older sibling would watch out for their younger sibling. We feel very grateful to be part of the Veritas community. The academics are top-tier with around 2/3 of the kids qualifying for Duke TIPS recognition (top 95% or higher in the country on standardized test). The Veritas kids are in very high demand for High Schools in town. The private High Schools call regularly and ask to please send them some more Veritas graduates. Great leadership in place with a seasoned faculty

As an alumni parent, I’m so grateful for the foundation my children received at Veritas. The school prepared them well for high school, both academically and spiritually. Even now, the principles and habits instilled at Veritas continue to serve them well in their academic and personal lives.
