The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

There is nothing inherently wrong with Berwick High School but a combination of unfortunate factors lead to problems. The teachers are great and do what they can for the most part but the combination of an almost 50-year-old, lackluster funding, and just the Louisiana education system in general, leave a lot to be desired. Despite these problems I would still rather go to Berwick than any other school in the district and even a lot outside of the district.

I love the small, home town feel and how all the teachers are very personable. As a smaller school though, there are many things we don't have access to. Our local law enforcement are super friendly and involved and treat the students great at sporting events. The administration and the teachers are very knowledgable and helpful. I wish there were more types of electives that our school could offer. There is just not much choice in that.

this school is a decent smart school. It is not very diverse as said on the site. people get bullied a ton and argue over childish stuff.
