At Frank Church High School in Southwest Boise, struggling students find a second chance for success. This Title 1 alternative academy was established in 2008 to commemorate Senator Frank Church’s legacy of achievement and inspire students to “achieve great things in their own lives.” Frank Church High School serves students who find traditional classroom instruction challenging by offering personalized teaching, state-of-the-art resources and a curriculum that promotes resilience, perseverance, preparation for careers, college and compassionate citizenship. The 88-thousand square foot campus offers a wealth of academic, athletic and art learning areas that include over 25 modern classrooms, three science labs, a computer lab, two art rooms, a music room, a full-service cafeteria and gymnasium, weight room, two basketball courts and a large recreation field. Students consistently praise the school's dedicated teaching and support staff and various district programs including the Just for Kids Childcare program and Boise Evening School classes that adapt to students' work schedules. The school also offers an extensive special education curriculum, Pre-SAT and SAT testing preparation, the annual Horticulture Sale and Fundraiser and the end of the year graduation barbecue, allowing parents to celebrate their students' achievements. If you’re looking for an alternative secondary education for your child that gives them the best possible chance for success and opportunities, Frank Church High School is an excellent option.

I love the atmosphere and the teachers! They are so willing to help and listen and it made for a great high school experience. The students are a little rough and sometimes staff don't do all they could to change or help that though.

The teachers, staff, and administration care. Our foster daughter has excelled there after very poor performance at other schools. For the student who wants to learn but has a negative background it is a great answer.
