GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of Brandon High school is the academics and how much is offered to the students to succeed. The worse part is favoritism and I would like too see a change in that to give all students opportunities.

Overall, Brandon High School has not been the best times of my life and I truly hope it will not be. Our school takes very little precautions on major issues like sexual harasment which results in many young girls falling victim to that. I wish our school would take action and attempt to prevent this from happening.

Awesome School with Awesome Teachers. The teachers were the best at caring about our wellbeing as well as our academic success. There are tons of things to get involved in to grow as a person.

My daughter attended Brandon HS starting her Sophmore year. Previously she attended Pearl HS. Brandon HS is all about their sport programs. They spend little to no money on Band, or Arts programs. This could be due to the fact that they have to share funds with all the other schools in Rankin County...

We moved to Brandon to get my son into this school starting in 9th grade. He was passing in his last school, but got Ds and Fs all the way through 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. He dropped out in 12th grade because he would have been 4 credits short on being able to graduate and even one class that he w...

I am glad that my child is out of this school. This school continues to rest on its laurels, and is not nearly the quality school that it once was. The principal spends most of his time hunkered away in his office, and has little or no contact with students or faculty. The only effective administrat...
