The vision of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School is “to provide an excellent formation in Jesus Christ and a comprehensive curriculum in which to educate lifelong learners.” Established in 1922, the school offers a diverse community, award-winning staff, and innovative technology resources. The school provides programs designed to enhance the academic, spiritual, physical, and emotional development of each child. The goal is to empower children to live lives of service, prayer, and strong moral character. Offering Pre-K through eighth grade, the school is open to parishioners as well as non-parishioners and non-Catholics. Current enrollment is around 190 students, with an average class size of 17. Afterschool care is also available. Standardized test scores for the school are higher than the St. Louis Archdiocese average, and 100% of graduates are accepted into their first choice of high school. Student activities include athletic programs, speech team, choir, science fair, ecology club, and Imagine Arts Academy. School traditions include Christmas performances, field day, mission carnival, 6th grade camp, and Junior Achievement. Students are also encouraged in service and faith through regular mass services, prayer, and unique community project opportunities.

The 4 year old preschool program is ridiculously inappropriate for preschoolers. The children are forced to sit for several hours each day and learn how to color within the lines. The teachers will make them redo their work until it meets their unreasonable expectations. I do not know about the othe...
