GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think this school is great for preparing for college, but I wish the teachers and staff would advocate for the students more and communicate better with the parents.

When I first started at Capital in 9th grade, it was during covid and due to that I was online. I didn't have many friends until 10th grade, which was my first year ever being in the building. 10th grade was definitely my best year in Capital Prep. I met people, including meeting the best girl best friend I could ever ask for, and bonded a relationship with many of my peers and the bonds has helped me from 10th grade to now. I always Had help around when it came to peers. I was also put in situations that showed me people who I thought was my friend's true colors. 11th grade was where it started getting difficult due to the lack of teachers being that teachers left, and we had substituted most of the year. This year, 12th grade, it is super hard and stressful because our graduation required project called SJP (Social Justice Project) but has also been a pretty decent year so far. I also have taken 4 collage classes 3 being at Housatonic Community College and 1 being at Post University

I've had the ability to attend dual enrollment classes at colleges. Also started my first business here as it expanded my skills. I'm honestly very grateful for this opportunity.
