Once known as Northeast Elementary, Rhoades Elementary School began operating in 1958, making it the longest-running school in the Broken Arrow Public Schools district. Rhoades Elementary now exists in a modernized, sleek building and serves students from kindergarten through 5th grade in the central portion of Broken Arrow, with a total of around 474 students and a 16:1 student-teacher ratio The team at Rhoades strives to develop students into creative thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong explorers. Over thirty percent of students are proficient in math and reading, and the school falls in the 50th percentile of overall test scores on a state level. Rhoades offers typical activities such as physical education, art, and music. Students can also participate in student council, running club, news crew, safety patrol, and more. In addition, Rhoades has a special partnership with Broken Arrow Church of Christ, giving students extracurricular opportunities within their community. Rhoades students have priority for the New Heights Summer Camp, a Christian summer camp with activities including Bible study, reading, math, physical education, computers, art, science, and special presentations.

My child enjoyed their time there but when we moved to another elementary in Broken Arrow, we found out that Rhoades is really lacking on quality education and engagement. It's a decent enough school, but probably one of the poorer in Broken Arrow.

My child liked the school well enough. But the safety is a huge issue in the before and after care and when kids go to the bathroom. This school did not make me feel very welcome or supported when I had questions about school safety, because my child got hurt there. They offered us a transfer to ano...

Small school feel in a big city. Teachers actually care about the well-being of the students. My student will finish elementary here.

I have 5 kids enrolled in the school for the last 2 years and I just love the school the counselors are wonderful and the principal is so caring and all the boys teachers communicate well with me
