GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Great school. Some classes can be academically challenging depending on what teacher you get. Excellent amount of resources, clubs, and facilities that are available to anyone interested.

Sports program could be enhanced--there is a lot of overlap with high academic students and student athletes.

The school has an excellent alumni network that contributes to additional funding. However, the DOE holds the school back from its fullest potential with restrictions on how to apply funding in relation to necessary facilities and upkeep. You'll find state of the art resources during additional research courses, but outdated materials in required labs managed by the DOE.

Bronx Science has no idea what to do with twice exceptional students and less than no interest in coming up with ways to...

My daughter graduated two years ago. She now goes to a a prestigious university and her grades are fantastic. Looking back, I have no doubt that the academic rigor at Bronx Science prepared her for any, and I mean any, college in the nation. I KNOW that too many universities are underestimating the...
