There was a focus on education. Not much on sports, extracurriculars, or the arts. The rules were very strict especially around dress code.

In my 3 out of 4 years attending Achievement First Brooklyn High I have never felt so prepared for my future than now. Achievement First is a great school that pushes its students to do their best at all times. They have a very strong academic process that continues to push us scholars forward in the best way possible especially with college. Students are set up for success and with the very amazing support of an amazing support system from the school team. If I had to in my later years I would most definitely recommend this school to fellow peers. The diversity in the school along with the culture is remarkable there is a variety of students and clubs that makes anyone feel comfortable in all ways. The school is a great community and the students show a great amount of school spirit especially when it's sports involved. Each sports and clubs is heavily supported and shown the upmost respect and love and support.

I wish they would worry more about the curriculum than the behavior issues that college professors don't worry about.
