GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Coming into high school I was scared. But BHS gives you that comforting feel and original high school experience that gives you freedom that you need to learn about the real world. We are taught relevant things in class that can help up outside of high school and given that extra help for college starting in freshman year.

T\My experience at Boerum Hill helped me improved as a student and trained me for college basketball life in a way. Because the experience taught me how to balance hard loads of work the teachers were giving us and being a basketball player.

Not a great learning environment. Kids vaping all the time, EXTREMELY overcrowded, students get pushed around in the halls every time the bell rings. Not at all COVID safe, with little to no ventilation. Kids who actually care about school get the short end of the stick here, the administration lets lots of things slide and no one follows the rules. There are some great teachers, and if you have enough determination and dedication and keep to yourself, you'll do fine here

Very very underwhelming for a school that claims to be dual language (its not - all instruction is in English with an hour of foreign language a day) and claims to be IB (everyone takes all "IB" classes so it defeats the purpose of advanced courses when they must cater to the slowest learners). Whil...

As an upcoming 8th grader at this school I’d say for as many good teachers, there are twice as many bad teachers, this school prides itself on diversity while only having one Asian teacher in the whole middle school. The new principal and vice principal are constantly making unnecessary changes with...

I have two kids at this school. They seem to like it a lot. There has been one incident each in the last three years. They both have black belts so where able to solve the situation with a minimum of fuss (One kick to the kid strangling his friend and one ''I'll slap you back' to the girl threatenin...

If you contact a staff member at this school there is a 50/50 chance you'll get a response within a few days. The rest of the time it's a delayed response or none at all. If something is important a parent may need to really push and ask multiple times. The staff have been overwhelmed due to stresse...
