The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Advantages - They offer lots of resources for the students like AP classes, they offer free SAT help, tutoring, internships, activities outside of school, jobs, scholarships, and more that they let kids know about. - They dismiss students early one day out of the week. - They allow students to go outside and buy lunch. - Area feels safe. - Most of the teachers care for the students' academic, outside life and overall wellbeing. - The school is kept clean majority of the time. - Community wise, most of the kids are respectful and not a problem. You could definitely find yourself making a decent click of friends as long as you at least try to put in some effort. Disadvantages: - I feel like it is not too challenging academically but this may be an advantage for students who are not too studious looking for a moderate work load. - Gym can sometimes be lazy. - Not much service in the building. - They could improve clubs and activities - Should have more trips (It's getting better)

I feel like Brooklyn Prep is an underprivileged school and it's not fair. On an everyday bases I run into peers with amazing potential. This school is not 2/10. We just lack resources and options. Imagine if every high school had the things Brooklyn Tech has. And we wonder why we are seeing no progr...
