The principal does not respect staff. She intimidates and threatens staff members. Very confrontational. You do not feel safe in her presence. She appears like she wants to fight you. Unprofessional. Disgusting behavior.

Ps. 397 is a great elementary school. They have excellent teachers and staff that focus on the entire well-being of our kids. They go the extra mile to help our kids succeed. As a parent, I am very pleased with this school. The former Assistant Principal is now the principal. She changed the school culture. Students and parents are happy. The test scores are going up. My twins both scored level 3 and 4 on the ELA and Math tests. Principal has an after school and Saturday...

We are very pleased with the school and so is our daughter who is in grade 2. The teachers are very dedicated and attentive to the needs and the learning levels of the children.I think that school has changed a lot since those old reviews from a long time ago.
