Sunset Park Prep M.S. 821 is a middle school located in Sunset Park on 4th Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets. This stately school boasts traditional red brick architecture and is surrounded by beautiful mature trees. There are just over 500 sixth through eighth grade students currently enrolled in this highly regarded institution. The middle school offers special education programs and English as a new language support to all grades. Students can enjoy a multitude of clubs and extracurricular activities to explore their interests while also meeting others who share similar interests. Programming includes crochet club, morning basketball, Science Olympiad, Helping Hands, Urban Debate League, news crew, robotics and much more. Academic curriculum includes Regents High School courses in algebra 1, earth science and Spanish language proficiency. All students participate in a standards-based curriculum and are supported by teachers and administrators that value and are committed to professional development that supports the educational growth and social emotional development of their students.

There's definitely some annoying teachers there and some teacher are biased there but overall this school is actually pretty nice the teacher won't make you feel left out like if you cry or something they will definitely help you. For people that are new to this school you made a pretty alright decision.

My son was placed Sunset Park prep through the NYC lottery. We ended up being pleasantly surprised. This school is filled with dedicated teachers and staff.
