GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The worst part of my high school experience was the pandemic and going to a school where I didn't have friends, so I had to meet new people. The pandemic was horrible, but thanks to it I met a group of friends I didn't know I would have been with. The best part is that this school prepares me for college so that I will be ready to have a good college experience.

BECHS is a rigorous school. If I didn't have homework most days of the week, I had an upcoming test I had to study for. It may be hard, and sometimes you will hate the teacher, but BECHS is honestly an amazing school that provides unique opportunities. Because of BECHS's connections to UTRGV, I am currently working on a research project with UTRGV. The hard work put in at BECHS will be worth it in the end.

I like that it provides honors classes that challenges students and offers the opportunity to take dual enrollenment classes at utrgv and tsc.

What is better option, a normal high school or a small one? Be sure to be aware of what is better fo...

Best high school in Brownsville. This school main priority is helping any student be as successful as he/she can. My daughter's brilliance can be easily extended at Bechs. I am so glad she is attending this school.
