GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like to see changes in the order that teachers put on students. There should be more management to keep the school in an adequate state. I do like the new building in the school since they are more comfortable to be in. As a dual enrollment students, I am off campus and I take classes at Troy University usually all day.

My experience at Pike County High School has been very eventful the past 4 years I have been there. This school has had three different principals since I started going there in the 9th grade (I'm in 12th now). For me, Pike County High School isn't consistent. They don't tell parents when their kids are being sent to the office, until it is time for them to get suspended or sent to alternative school. This school isn't consistent with keeping up with the parents.

Pike County Highschool is pretty much what I call home, and the reason why, is because almost everyone here treats each other with respect. Is this school perfect? no, we may need to work on a few things, but other than that I feel like I'm getting the knowledge I need to go to college to purse my dream. I can't think of any other school I would rather be at other than Pike County High, go bulldogs!!

This school is terrible. The students refer to it as the county because it’s more like a prison than a school. Most of the teachers don’t care about the students and would prefer to see them fail, and the principal thinks of himself as though he’s a dictator.
