I have been at Thomas Jefferson for about five years and graduated from there recently. Overall I'd say the school is extremely helpful for not only future college success but also its community. It's smaller so the teacher and other kids know you and after leaving for college I can honestly say I feel prepared for higher level classes.

While small and with limited resources pertaining to sports and extracurriculars, the education that can be received is one of the best. If you put in the work, you'll be more than prepared for college. The teachers care about you, want to work with you to help you succeed. The counselor is fantastic as well; she'll do everything she can to help you either get to college, graduate, or just get to the next day.

The teachers are well-informed in their subject areas and provide individualized help while maintaining a high academic standard.

While Thomas Jefferson is a great school academically and provides a challenge for attending students, there are many negatives. One of which is that the school is severely lacking in activities and sports. If a student ever wanted to participate in a sport or band, they would have to reach out to n...

I attended my (2nd) freshman year to my sophomore year, and at that time I was a real pain to the teachers. Fortunately both the principal and the teachers were very patient, helpful, and understanding. Which I am very thankful for! For my junior year I returned to CHS. Because of the amount of cred...

This school is great if your child doesn't have any learning challenges. My two oldest children have thrived for years at TJ. But my youngest son is dyslexic. Lack of leadership on the principal's level and teachers who care to place blame on parents are driving us away from this school. It's unfort...

This school has a principle that is completely useless. Thomas Jefferson has misused Title One federal funding. Instead of using it to help those student who need extra help, they spent it on new computers!!
