It's an ok school for the immediate area, very safe ,good aesthetic, lots of nepotism though . If you are a boy mom, be aware that your son may not get treated fairly by staff members. This school was ok up until 4th grade and its been a nightmare this entire year. My child will not be returning for the 5thgrade. The afterschool program is a complete joke. Current administration has no connection with the students, heavily miss the previous principle and seeing her in the morning greet the kids into school.

This school has had some transitions over the past 5 years. Administrations have changed. As of 2023 it is on a better path. There is clear new leadership first with the superintendent and second with the principals that wants the best for the school. There is a new vision, drive and hope for PS176Q...

WoW!!!! I went there from 1960=1966. The school still looks great ,,many memories of the teachers and the activities. They dont make teachers like that anymore. Be lucky if your child is going to that school today.

My daughter has been attending his school for 3yrs now and I have been to the school at different parts of the day observing the kids transition from various classes and lunch etc and I have never witnessed elementary school kids act so calm and well behaved without someone yelling at them. My child currently attends 176 and is in kindergarten. So far I think its a great school. My child is learning a lot and excited to go to school everyday. Her teacher is wonderful and the kids seem to really enjoy being in her class.
