Carlsbad Early College High School is an amazing program that prepares students for college and gets them a head start on their college career. The school is located on SENMC campus, your first two years you complete all of your high school requirements, and then your Junior and senior year you work to get an associate degree, certificate, or a good amount of transfer credits.

CECHS is a great school because it gives kids the opportunity to pursue an associate's degree while working towards their diploma at the same time. Sometimes this school can be a lot to handle being just being academics. The school does not offer any extracurriculars and does not allow students to participate in clubs and extracurriculars at the regular high school. Even though the program is great and is on a college campus, the rooms are very cramped.

I am currently a senior at the Early College High School and throughout my previous years, my experience has been extravagant. This school allows students to pursue their associate's degree before college while paying a minimal amount of fees. If you are worried about not having the high school experience, don't worry. It will feel like high school but you will be more prepared for your future.
