Since 1989, Cherry Tree Elementary School has been preparing students to “Experience excellence…Explore opportunities…Realize potential.” This vision statement can be seen in the quality academics, holistic learning classes, early childhood center and “A Rating” from the Indiana Department of Education.
While Cherry Tree Patriots study in an elementary school with a student body slightly larger than the Carmel Clay School District average, they still enjoy competitive academic achievement and a good student-teacher ratio. The school is home to one of the district’s early childhood centers, which is run by the Carmel Early Childhood Assessment Team. The youngest Cherry Tree learners, from three to five years old, receive a continuum of care that connects them with peers at similar learning stages.
Cherry Tree Elementary offers students from kindergarten through fifth grade a Chromebook for use at school and at home. Rotating 50-minute special classes include 21st Century skills and STEM. Through these classes and other enrichment activities, the staff at Cherry Tree seeks to educate students through a holistic learning model. Outdoor activities include a spacious softball complex, which it shares with Carmel High School, and three playground areas for age-appropriate outdoor play.

So far, excellent. We have had great teachers, AIs, bus drivers, etc. I'm sure there are a few not so great, but you can't have it all. We've been pleased with the advance math and reading groups, as well as the challenge program.

We started out our journey with Cherry Tree wonderful and happy. But over the years it started going bad and it ended terrible. If you only plan to attend Cherry Tree in the early years you will more n likely have a wonderful experience but if you plan to finish your elementary years at Cherry Tree...

We just moved to a different state to a top-ranked school, but as I am finding out, it can't hold a candle to Cherry Tree.
