Carmel, Indiana is home to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School, serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. The school’s mission is to provide “excellence in education to meet the needs of the whole child.” To fulfill this mission, Our Lady of Mount Carmel is dedicated to quality academics, faith-based instruction and dynamic athletic opportunities.
Academic instruction is provided by the Dominican sisters from the Saint Cecilia Congregation. This Order of Preachers has provided the Catholic Church with both religious and academic education since 1216. Today, Saint Cecilia Congregation provides Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School with a curriculum accredited by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission and approved by the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana.
The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Raiders compete in athletic events to promote physical, spiritual and mental growth. The sports ministry, SportsLeader, is designed to inspire “Virtue, ceremony and Catholic identity” in coaches and student athletes.
Because Our Lady of Mount Carmel is proud to be a Catholic school, admissions applications require a copy of baptismal certificate and first Communion certificate for students in third grade and beyond. Applicant households who are registered in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish can learn more about tuition, the admission process and student life at this highly rated private school.

Zero support were it counts. Completely disappointed with upper management. We have removed our child. Hopefully not too late.

I am a student who goes to this school (class of 21-22) and through personal experience I would not recommend sending your child here. The bullying at this school is extreme and teachers rarely if ever take note of it, yet they are extremely strict on dress code. Teachers care more about girls’ neck...
