GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've had a good experience at Carteret High School. I've joined some clubs and done some volunteer work. I was able to join a college readiness program because it was offered for students at the school. I enjoy meeting different teachers and students. The worst experience I had was when I was in 9th grade math. The classroom had a lot of students in a small classroom. I can't think of anything that I'd really want to change about Carteret High School.

Can use the school funding on things such as sports, food, clubs, etc. Get the students more involved and let them embrace the high school experience.

Throughout my four years at Carteret High School, I was lucky enough to make some amazing connections with both my teachers and peers. However, I do hear stories about problems with other teachers and sometimes fights between students break out. I think if you are seriously dedicated, Carteret High School can provide you with a great education, despite what some people think.

My daughter went through the Carteret school system, and graduated High school, however the stories she had mentioned to us about the teachers not being leaders, lack of homework, and just winging it, kids misbehaving in class, shows that there is a lot of work to be done in the Carteret school syst...
