Honestly, I love Wake STEM. It was my dream school for years, and after being here for 2.5 years, it did not disappoint. The staff is absolutely amazing, and the students and general culture is just... wow. I will say that if you are looking to apply, be prepared to have (1) no say in what classes you take until junior/senior year and (2) almost exclusively take AP courses.

STEM is an amazing opportunity for any student that wants to go beyond the typical high school experience. The teachers care so much about their students, and the small class size ensures lots of individual attention. Project based learning does a great job at preparing students for college and beyond, as does the dual-enrollment program in partnership with NC State.

One of the greatest schools I have ever been to. This school fosters an extra amount of support for children and helps them solve real problems through the process of engineering.

I have had an amazing experience as a student at this school. This has made me not only ready for college but also the professional world. Throughout my four years here I was able to grow and learn through the help of the incredible students and staff. I can't wait to see what Wake STEM becomes.

It was meant to be for those families whose parents had never achieved a college education. Instead, it turned out to be an elite school where you are never given the opportunity to take average classes (for instance, the only seated US History class is AP - not advanced or regular).
