Offering personalized education, Brighton Academy in Chandler is an accredited private school catering to students in first through twelfth grades seeking alternative or complementary learning environments. Founded in 1999, the school has taught more than 4,000 students among its 15 campuses in the United States. Instruction ranges from tutoring and ACT/SAT prep to credit recovery and full-time private education. Here, the faculty serve gifted students trying to earn Advance Placement credits, students with learning differences seeking a better pace, homeschooled children that might be transitioning to a traditional school environment, or performance-driven students who might be pursuing acting, sports training, or other career-focused programs that compete with the standard school-day schedule. Student-athletes also can make the most of Brighton’s flexible schedule to fit in courses approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association so they can meet requirements to compete in college. And to round out its offerings, Brighton also hosts several skill-building programs in core subjects and one-year programs for middle school or high school students. Plus, online classes are offered to students who don’t live near campus or need even more flexibility, still with one-on-one instruction in each learning session.

I enrolled my son at Brightmont for the 2019 school year. You are sent an electronic payment for the classes, which I have come to learn has fine print saying you pay for a full year. Nothing gets emailed & when I asked for a copy of what I signed at the school they said that is kept at corporate. Half way through the year we decided to go back to a classroom setting and I have 5 emails supporting the decision from Deuree.. even one saying the school owes us money. Then we get charged $6K+ in tuition for the next semester when he doesn't go there. When we finally got an answer about the charge, I was told it was in the contract. I didn't even know one existed, but when you sign up for classes...that's the contract. There is fine print that says you pay $6200 per quarter for 4 quarters. When I talked to Corporate and told them I told the school two months before we left that my son would start the next semester at a different school...no one told me that we would still be charged.

The only way my child will learn is one on one. This is the only option I can find. It appears that the complaints are from parents that have students with greater ability or that are just complaining about the price. I expect one on one learning to cost more so this seems like an unreasonable compl...

I would have to say going to this school was a regret of 2019!

Do not send your child here unless they can teach themselves or they have no desire to do well in college. Once in college there is no one to hold their hand when they do assignments.

Depending on the student's effort, this can either be a great place to learn, or it can be just a place to buy a diploma.
