GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Classes are either very easy or very difficult with no in between. Many teachers try very hard but others not at all. It is hard to predict and hard to manage. Nevertheless, the school is very safe, has a lot of resources, and is improving.

I think this school is generally very good. It provides many Honors and AP classes. One thing that can be improved is its tardy policy which does not allow students to go inside the classroom without getting a pass. I think this policy should be repealed.

If you go to East you have to choose to either completely change your personality and not be able to live life normally again or fail and never be happy.

East is the most challenging public high school in the state. The stress level is unbelievable and most people say they put forth more effort here than they ever had to in college. If you don't take honors and AP classes, then you are looked down upon by peers, teachers and the administration. Very...
