My child has been at BISC for two years now going onto his third from 3-5 years old. The lower school is amazing for the kids. They combine learning and outside play which the kids really enjoy. I think BISC is a school that is a hidden gem among the charlotte private schools. The lower school kids here are way "advanced" compared to their counterparts in terms of maturity, happiness, and learning. The school always gives the feel of a family environment.

It is true that there are only a dozen students in each grade of high school; however, this provides excellent visibility for each student. This also helps students across grades get to know each other and make friends. My child joined BISC after middle school and was very timid in new environments...

I have 2 children at this school and can’t say enough wonderful things about the curriculum and teachers. Lots of 1 on 1 interaction and a close knit parent community. Our teacher is also hands down one of the best teachers in her approach to teaching as well as her emotional connection to the child...

We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the BISC community. The teachers and students truly care about one another and the atmosphere is one of respect and kindness - for the students, their families, and for their many different cultures and backgrounds. We have been very impressed with the curr...

The school is small, intimate. Lots of 1:1 interaction and attention paid to individual students' needs. My two cents is for primary school where the 1:1 attention is more critical it's great. As they get older and the "hand-holding" is not as necessary, the small size might be a disadvantage as you...
