The best part of independence is how easy it is to get involved and show your school spirit. Some of the students aren't the best but if you keep your head up and achieve your goals you can graduate with outstanding marks

Independence High School offers a diverse student body and a wide range of extracurricular activities, but it struggles with overcrowded classrooms and inconsistent academic support. While some teachers are passionate and dedicated, others seem disengaged. Overall, the school has potential but could benefit from more resources and a stronger focus on individual student needs.

Select few teachers were rude, both to students and parents. restroom policies were extremely strict, my bladder nearly burst in my senior year English class one day when my teacher refused to let me go as well as several times where had genuinely had incidents with my menstrual cycle, and I was not allowed to go. My favorite part was JROTC, instructors were amazing and genuinely cared about the students and I continue to visit the school even two years after graduating solely for them.

It's a great school. If your students are willing to learn, the teachers are always there to guide and help you. My children love it here and graduated with honors.

It can be very isolating at times and most teachers are pretty indifferent towards students learning.

Passive aggressive teachers and disrespectful administration. All four years Ive felt discriminated against and uncomfortable. Decent learning programs but the passive aggressive teachers make it not worth it.
