Since its inception, Southwest Middle School has engaged with the parents of Steele Creek in order to provide the best learning experience for any sixth, seventh, and eighth grader. Each of Southwest’s teachers works full-time to influence students to be a part of as many aspects of school life as possible. The school’s mission is to provide every student with a safe environment where they can study, learn and apply their knowledge to thrive in today’s ever-changing society. For students who are interested in athletics, they can choose between a variety of sports, which include basketball, cheerleading and football. There are also clubs that they can join, such as drama, robotics and technology. Special education services are available for every student. Though the school displays average to below-average test scores, it continues to make an effort to educate children and help them become leaders today so they can lead tomorrow.

We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The kids here are cruel and this school is nuts. 0/10 do not recommend. Some of the teachers are good like Mrs. A and Mrs. C and many other teachers at the school but it's extremely chaotic. Kids have even smoked on campus outside and on the buses.

This school is horrible. LUnch is bad and the students are bad. Most teachers don't come to school so we are dispersed. Math 1 is carrying the test scores. (that are below average)
