Built in 1886 on a dirt road that would later become Quincy Avenue, Cherry Hills Village Elementary comes from humble beginnings. The one-room schoolhouse was home to just one teacher and a handful of students from the surrounding farms. Today, the much-expanded school serves more than 500 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade in Cherry Hills Village, a neighborhood just south of Denver, Colorado. Cherry Hills staff credit a supportive community and a high degree of parental involvement as contributing factors to the school’s success. A mission to ensure that all kids thrive, that all kids are seen, are valued and feel connected to the school community, is what drives the school’s vision of dedication to excellence. A focus on “High Five” behaviors — be safe, be ready, be respectful, be responsible and be your best self, is incorporated into daily learning plans and helps students develop character and self-control. Cherry Hills Village “Dolphins” have access to a wide variety of enrichment opportunities outside the classroom. After-school clubs include Cub Scouts, Chess Club, Destination Imagination, Girls on the Run, and Clean Air, Land and Water Club. Music lessons and Snapology offer additional opportunities for learning and engagement.

We are in our third year at CHVE, and couldn't recommend it more highly. It's a wonderful school - small class size, engaged teachers, and a wonderful community. Of course, it's a bubble. You won't see a lot of socio-economic diversity, and it's your responsibility as a parent to counter that with o...

There was no support if you needed it, instead they would send you to the counselor or the principal. worst school ever. If I could rate it a 0 I would. I finall...

It has been great having my child at CHVE. The principle is great and handles any problems fast. The teachers are great. The parents are very involved and majority of the kids are sweet and innocent and nothing like other schools we've been to.
