Founded by the Chicagoland architecture, construction and engineering industry leaders, ACE Amandla serves students in ninth through twelfth grades. The average enrollment is around 200 students and class size averages about 22 students. ACE Amandla has four categories that the staff set goals for every year. Those categories are attendance, grades, standardized assessment scores and behavior. Staff monitor students' progress on these four goals so they can recognize students meeting the goals and provide targeted support for students falling behind. Because of the school’s unique focus on architecture, construction and engineering, students are taught through a hands-on, project- based curriculum. Specific classes offered cover topics such as an introduction to architecture, construction and engineering careers, construction trades and civil engineering and architecture. There are also opportunities for real-world experience through internships. Students can participate in sports such as baseball, basketball, dance team and soccer. Other extracurricular activities include a cooking club and gamers club. ACE Amandla accepts up to 150 freshmen students annually via a lottery system.

The best part about my school is the friends that you will make overtime. The worst is people are going to you as a outsider but of you show that real you they will show the real self.

Every teacher I have had so far is caring and has good energy. They love to help their students and see every one of them succeed. They do a great job of motivating us to be good students and human beings. I feel like I will be ready for college once I graduate.
