Catalyst-Circle Rock Elementary School is a charter school serving kindergarten through eighth grades, striving to help students reach academic goals through challenging coursework emphasizing social and emotional growth. Catalyst-Circle Rock Elementary School enrolls a little over 500 children and encourages students to develop communication and critical thinking skills with a strong STEM and literacy-based curriculum. Technology is promoted in the classroom through iPads and Chromebooks. Catalyst-Circle Rock Elementary School teachers work with kids to develop their character, value system and leadership abilities with targeted and inspired classroom interactions. By partnering with some of Chicago's non-profits, students can supplement academic careers at Catalyst-Circle Rock Elementary School with the performing arts by joining the Chicago Children's Choir or the "May I Have This Dance?" ballroom dance program. Sponsored by the Ravinia Foundation, the Circle Rockets Orchestra represents the country's largest African American elementary school symphony. At Catalyst-Circle Rock Elementary School, the staff is committed to building better tomorrow for the children of Austin.

I was at catalyst for three years, and I haven't really enjoyed the school as a whole. The lunch really isn't that great. Students are taught the minimum. I hope they get better in the future.
