GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I give my experience an eight out of 10 pretty good school of course everything has their downfalls, but I don't think I would go anywhere else. Kenwood make sure that you're our college ready and prepared for the real world they do give you a lot of opportunities to be involved within the school, but the school isn't kept up to par and has a lot of rough patches, but to me the good overpowers the bad

Great experience, could be even better if students are involved with multiple activities and take advantage of all resources.

When people say a school is "diverse," they often mean there are many people of color. Some might mistake Kenwood for being diverse because its student population is more than 85% Black. However, in reality, it lacks diversity in some aspects but makes up for it with inclusion. There are so many affinity clubs that I— as a queer Latina—am able to find my "people."

My oldest son graduated from Kenwood and he often spoke about how supportive the teachers were towards him and how they encouraged him to excel and do his best. He loved that the administration was always supportive and easy to talk to as well. He knew not only the teachers but also the admin pushed...

I am a parent who had 2 daughters attend KENWOOD for both 7/8 at the Academic Center and 9-12 at the high school. Both of my daughters were very engaged in their learning and their extracurriculars. I have been a happy KENWOOD parent for 10 years total, as my girls are 4 grades apart in school. I hi...

The staff at this school is incompetent and rude. It amazes me that they hire these people to interact with not only our kids but the public as well. They are good at sweeping everything under the rug and never taking responsibility or ownership for anything. I have not run into anyone at this schoo...

As a parent of a current student as well as an alumni, I find that this school continues to evolve and provide the students with more opportunities to excel in life and provides a solid and excellent foundation for the students.
