KIPP Academy Chicago promotes the KIPP Forward initiative. Students receive the tools needed to pursue personal academic and professional goals. Some students strive for college admission, while others hope to run their own business or serve their country. In each circumstance, the KIPP Forward program works to help kids realize their dreams. KIPP administrators are ready to assist each student in meeting academic, social and financial challenges. Working with more than 95 colleges across the country, KIPP develops models for guiding first-generation college students toward success. KIPP alumni have gone on to attend universities such as Duke and the University of Houston as Dave Goldberg Scholarship recipients. Each year 15 scholarships are distributed to KIPP students demonstrating scholastic promise. Working to increase opportunities for first-generation college students, KIPP Academy positively impacts the lives of Chicago's children and future leaders.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
