St. Genevieve Catholic School is a private Catholic school that serves about 200 students from prekindergarten to eighth grade.
Founded in 1925, the school has been a fixture in the Cragin community for generations.
The school uses software, technology and small group instruction in the classroom. Lesson plans are tailored to the student’s needs after an evaluation of strengths and weaknesses in subject areas.
St. Genevieve Catholic School also has an accelerated reader program and science partnerships with the University of Chicago and museums. Art, music, basketball and Spanish are also available to students. And eighth grade students complete guided service projects.
Beyond traditional academic offerings, the school ensures the wellness of students through physical education and health classes.
The school provides before and after-school care for students. Kindergarten through fourth grade students can participate in BLAST (Bringing Life-learning Activities to Students Throughout the summer) summer camp that includes daily academic and fun activities, like field trips and crafts.
