The school's average enrollment tops 600 students, a more than 80 percent increase over the past decade. Waters Elementary is recognized for its fine and performing arts, ecology and technology programs. These programs are used to interlace themes throughout all subjects taught in the hopes of creating a more engaging and holistic educational experience for students. The school uses traditional learning models as well as incorporating experiential learning through hands-on activities and interaction, and differentiate learning based on students’ academic levels in reading and math. Beyond academics, Waters Elementary offers extracurricular sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, cross country and track. Students who want to participate in activities outside of sports can explore the chess team, yearbook club and leadership ambassadors program. A recent survey of students and teachers recognized the school as having very involved parents and very collaborative teachers. Teachers who participated in the survey overwhelmingly said they would recommend the school to parents searching for a place to send their child.

Some of the teachers have a nasty attitude and do not always treat students with equality.

After many years of loving Waters, the only thing that has kept us there is a handful of committed teachers, and the community. I strongly feel there needs to a change in administration!!
