The extracurricular opportunities aren't very big due to the small size of the school, but they are open to all students and are good opportunities for kids to explore their interests after school.

The teachers encourage and foster a love of learning in their students throughout their education at school by using Montessori principles and the Catechism of the Good Shepherd. They teach skills that can be used outside the classroom that prepare students to face the outside world.

My children attended this school for many years. We decided to part ways with GSCM after a student made a threat to bring a gun to school and shoot students in the adolescent program. The initial reaction of administration was to do nothing and bring the student back to school after one day at home....

Lack of professional development for those few teachers who have Montessori training.Half of the staff are parents.No executive funcitioning on the part of the Principal.Board is insular and does not advocate for education of students but instead for Catholic teachings that are fundamentally right....

If you are not heavily conservative in your political and religious views, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere to educate your child(ren). Catholicism comes first, Montessori a distant second.
