The Halle School of Inquiry, formerly known as H. Barbara Booker, is a public school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District near Cleveland's west side neighborhoods of Detroit Shoreway and Stockyards. The school serves nearly 400 students from kindergarten through eighth grade. As part of the district’s Redesign Network, multiple schools, including the H. Barbara Booker school, were restructured and redesigned physically and academically. Renamed the Halle School of Inquiry after these renovations, the school focuses on Inquiry-Based Learning, or IBL, which is a question-focused approach that allows for more hands-on research and academic exploration. Halle has a unique partnership with the company Sherwin Williams. The company offers resources to school families and connects students to opportunities with The Cleveland Orchestra, First Tee of Cleveland, the Great Lakes Science Center and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Special events include their version of a Macy's Day parade, where children dress up and show their school spirit.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
