The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a junior at CSA, I can say that I have truly had a valuable experience. The Arts at CSA are wonderful. Students are exposed to art 24/7. While there are no sports at CSA, students are too focused on their respective arts to complain. If a student were to want to play sports, they would simply have to go across the oval to John Hay High School (they partner with CSA to provide sporting activities for these students). Overall, I have had a truly enriching experience at Cleveland School of the Arts (I highly recommend our Dance Department).

My experience at the Cleveland school of the arts was fun and different the school and people there were always kind and supportive even if you didn't know each other we still had each other back it felt like a family and not many people say that about high school but that what makes CSA different I loved everyday we practiced for upcoming performances and my classmates In dance even through COVID I enjoyed every moment

CSA is very diverse - most of the student body consists of minorities, mainly African Americans. The arts are also very diverse, even having subcategories in certain majors to explore different fields under that major. However, the equal representation between the majors is lacking, mainly with the visual arts departments.
I am a graduate of CSA with a 3.6 GPA, 4 seals, Impact! and ArtWorks completion, and in progress for a BFA. I cannot recommend this school to anyone else. The admin have made it their mission to stamp the passion and creativity out of students there with awful art support, terrible treatment of A.I.R...
