GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a black Haitian American student at Brazoswood Highschool I would say that there is not much diversity. I would love to see in the near future more black students at Brazoswood Highschool but I also want them to feel safe and welcomed.

My experiences at Brazoswood were very eventful. For sports, I enjoyed it very much being an athlete. We worked hard and constantly prepared ourselves for higher levels academically, we had great teachers always helping us learn and achieve our goals. There were rocky moments between the staff and parents, and they often misunderstood us, but overall I persevered.

Brazoswood has a variety of resources for students to set their pathway at the local community college. I really appreciated the two free dual credit classes the school covers for every student that applies. One change I would like to see is more guidance given to freshmen when entering high school. The counselors ask you to set all four years halfway through freshman when you barely know what's available to you. Your pathway is extremely important in high school especially if you're interested in medical classes. There should be more in depth guidance given to freshman so they know their options before choosing all of their classes.

This school has a lot to offer due to its size (variety of classes and extracurricular activities) but what you don't realize is that unless you are one of the very top students (or one of the very bottom) you do not receive the attention that each student deserves. I found this out when attending a...

The teaching staff is like any other highschool in houston. YOu have the amazing teachers, the average teachers, and a few bad ones. The only d...

This is coming from a High School Senior. I honestly have to say that this high school is pretty good. I took all advanced and AP classes so the teachers I had were amazing. The 9nth grade teaching staff were very helpful. As the years progressed, the teachers remained at the top of their levels. Br...
