GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Shelby County High School has brought so many good things to me such as a great education and wonderful friends!

The teachers have your best interest and try and encourage you the best they can; although, because our school was originally built as a segregated white school, the majority of technology is archaic compared to new age technology.

Great school where everyone is loved and we experience the love every day. The principal knows everyone on a personal level you can't get at a larger school, yet academically the school has AP scores the consistently place in the top in the state in AP US History and AP Calculus. Overall a great school with an awesome community around it

I am a former student of SCHS and not proud to see the direction of the school. I think there are interior problems with the school as far as a weak administration is concerned. Issues dwell within the supporting staff of the front office. The school is still thriving to receive what little funds it...
