GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is a good place to grow and become prepared for college as well as life. The experiences I have gotten from this school I don't think I could have gotten anywhere else.

I love Columbus's africentric early college. The school is as it says an early college filled with an African heritage. to the morning meetings and afternoon meetings that woke the student's mind and body, it is a great school. As a student there I can tell you that the atmosphere of learning from not only your teachers but your peers too is amazing. Noone is left behind says your peers. Africentric is just a great school that I completely recommend.

Africentric is a great school. We are like a small family that truly cares for one another. The teachers are caring and work well with the kids to make sure we graduate with a plan for our lives. They work hard to help every student graduate with College Acceptances, military acceptances, a trade or some other plan.

This school is in danger of closing after years of poor performance. Africentric is labelled as an alternative school and students have the opportunity to take college credit courses at CSCC. Nonetheless, the school is ranked bottom of the CCS and less than a handful of students are enrolled to CSCC...

One of the worst schools in the district. The principal and assistants are all unprofessional, students are always noisy, rude and not there to study. I placed my daughter after reading the early college program, it's a joke as only 1/2 students attend columbus state so it's a early college for name...

I found this to be a good school. If you are not open to an African-centered perspective. Students still learn the from the core curriculum of the Columbus City School district, just from an Africentric perspective where students see themselves in what they are learning. They can apply what they are...
