So far, I am enjoying my experience at the High School for Arts & Business (frequently referred to as HSAB). They offer many extracurricular activities, AP classes, and the teachers seem like they are qualified beyond the high school level. However, there is not much diversity in the students of the school as students of Latino/Latina and Asian descent are predominantly enrolled in the school, and both the location as well as interior of the school is not the cleanest in NYC.

Best parts are the connections made with students and teachers, frequent encouragement and engagement in fun lessons I'd like to see change in the school's approach to drug use, less yelling for kids to get out of the bathroom, an increased positive experience between staff other than teachers and students such as lunch aids etc. As for food, I believe a portion increase is in order, often the main dish is salad and milk.

It's one of the top schools in NYC. I highly recommend for anyone interested in the arts or business in their future career path. The teachers there are all amazing and kind hearted people. Eventhough it's a small school that just causes a tight community, ready to support eachother.

I am happy to see a principal so dedicated to helping students be the best they can be. The staff are very warm and passionate about their work and that's what makes a great environment for learning. However, the students have to do their part by wanting to succeed because the teachers can do but so...

I graduated from Arts and Business in 2009 and I am currently attending Hunter College. During high school I took many advanced placement courses which are highly offered to the students and was also accepted to a prestigious academic program called "Minds Matter." My high school experience was not...

Also I met a lot of great people in this school both students and faculty members. The teachers are wonderful, they really push students to do well in cla...
