GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I'm having a fine experience at Cranston High School East. Mostly good teachers, solid academics, very average admins, pretty mediocre food, and a very old campus. The best part of the school by far is the diversity, which no other school in Rhode Island can match. Those are my quick thoughts on Cranston East.

CHSE has been a great experience. My children are challenged and engaged. Teachers are kind and respectful to my students. The 'college like' campus seems a bit unsafe as children pass to different buildings allowing for others to enter during that time.

I enjoyed my time at Cranston East, and though there are some issues with a few faculty members, I have a generally positive opinion of the school. After-school clubs and sports were very fun and engaging and my classes prepared me for further education.

Our experience has been way better than expected. I guess it comes down to the student and the values being instilled at home. If your child is not a follower, he or she will be fine. They have a great Honors and AP program.

I graduated from Cranston High School East in 1972. I received and excellent education. I furthered my education and became a doctor. No, it was not easy, but it was not that hard either. The reason is because of all of the great teachers and curriculum that I had at CHSE. The only purpose that the...
