GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

John Jay has a lot of great teachers, clubs, and class options. Pretty safe and has the best robotics ecs ever tbh.

I love John Jay they put a lot of money toward clubs, the theater department, and sports. Some teachers are not the best and constantly contradict themselves but it's made up for by the amazing teachers we have. The main complaint I have about my school is the lack of support for mental health. It's very difficult to get help and the school had one assembly to placate us and then moved on

Though the school struggles with a lack of diversity, it did offer very good courses and lots of resources for college.

If you enjoy a place where the students drive nicer cars than their teachers, cliches from hell, a 95% white demographic and encourages a stress level that isn't even seen by Harvard, then JJHS is the place for you!

yes the school has high test scores but thats only because you spend everyday practicing for the test and not talking the necessary time to really learn the information because a the end of the day higher test scores mean more money for them
