The school environment is quite toxic with all the students wanting to get good grades. This creates a cheating and gate keeping environment that isn't healthy for students. The classes are very homework heavy which makes the students quite stressed, but doesn't exactly translate into knowledge gained.

While I have not been there for very long, Oxford has a great academic life and a great administration.

Oxford Academy is a public school from 7th to 12th grade that has an application and exam process to be selected to attend. Overall, the academics and campus/school environment is top notch as a school in California and is pretty competitive with most students taking 6+ APs by the time they graduate and are involved in numerous extracurriculars and clubs.

This school has little diversity and low engagement for students, but there is a lot of engagement with parents. Very safe, hardly any bullying. Campus is small and crowded. Many complain about homework, but you don't have to sleep at 3am if you keep up with your homework.
