Students take fine arts classes weekly. They also participate in music classes twice per week. Beginning in the third grade, students have the ability to go on field trips with the aim of expanding their music education and appreciation. To support the development of the whole child, the district participates in the Coordinated School Health Initiative. Through this program, students participate in physical education. Physical education classes are designed to teach students how to be active and make healthy choices. Students aren’t required to wear a uniform, but there is a district-wide dress code for students to follow. There is an active Parent Teacher Association at Bukhair Elementary. Parents are also encouraged to sign up and volunteer at the school to help foster a sense of community and student support.
