The First Baptist Athletic Complex is almost always bustling with activity. The state-of-the-art sports facility is located on the campus of the Dallas First Baptist Academy, a private Christian school that serves students pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
It is located in the Riverway Estates/Bruton Terrace area, about nine miles east of downtown Dallas. The all-star to the First Baptist Athletic Complex is its all-grass, lighted football stadium that can fit 1,500 people. This is home to the First Baptist Saints.
The athletic complex is the frequent backdrop for the 17 varsity sports and 12 middle school sports that are offered by the Dallas First Baptist Academy. It’s also the home to frequent champions: The Saints have won 19 State Championships since 1982 and continue to produce college-bound athletes each year.
The First Baptist Athletic Complex includes lighted sports fields for baseball and soccer, a basketball court, a venue for track and field events and more. The complex has grand stands, a scoreboard, outdoor playgrounds, covered picnic areas, a concession stand, and paid parking for 250-plus or overflow parking for up to 600. The venue is frequently made available to rent out to the community and other teams, whether it’s a place for games, youth camps or to host a regional tournament.

The thing about First Baptist Academy is that you feel welcomed into a family. The staff and people who have helped the school to be what it is today have made it to where kids and students feel welcomed in. The teachers care about their students' well-being along with their performance in the classroom. The teachings of God is directly correlated with the subject. Teachers pray over their students before or after class to set the tone for the class every day.

FBA is run by a very interconnected clique of people who all grew up with each other and graduated from the school and then came back to work here. FBA is all about playing favorites. There are many staff children/grandchildren here and they are treated like only they matter. It’s a very unequal environment as well as sending a negative impact to all other kids.As well, the school leadership looks the other way on a lot of questionable behavior...

This is a closed campus that doesn’t let parents past the reception desk in most instances. You won’t get to meet other parents unless your kid is an athlete and you pay to attend school games. It’s very small with just a few hundred kids K-12 so your kid may not get the social development available...
