Extracurricular activities are limited mostly to sports. The art program is underfunded, theater program was killed.

Children who do not fit in are scapegoated. Imaginative, passionate teachers are discarded. While the athletics are touted as inclusive -- no tryouts are required -- the kids are under extreme pressure to compete. Coaches and parents suck the joy out of what should be youthful fun. They cancelled the Halloween Carnival because it didn't turn a profit. That kind of says it all.

There is such a limited and skewed view of the world at this school. I understand that it is centered around Catholicism, however, the negativity put on other religions is not right. The best science teacher I ever had was from this school, but she left, and one of the teachers that made history and english fun was fired, no doubt due to her eccentricity and vibrance or offering an honest view of the world to her students.

St. Thomas is a great academic school. It has become quite ambitious in expanding its campus at the lower and upper campus. The art program is truly fantastic, probably the best in Dallas for grades 1-8. It really helps sell the school making a beautiful impression. Deeper down, though, the school's...

STA has greatly exceeded my expectations. It is a terrific school. The teachers are so enthusiastic and dedicated. They truly care about every child. My two children both love their teachers and the school. The level of communication is terrific and the administration is highly competent and caring....

We have three children at STA and are very satisfied with the academics, the strong sense of community among the families, the parent involvement, and the school's effort to instill good values.
